Taraji P. HensonTaraji P. Henson Nominated For An NAACP Image Award

Taraji P. Henson has been nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Joss Carter on Person of Interest. The other actresses in the category are Diahann Carroll for White Collar, Archie Panjabi for The Good Wife, Debbie Allen For Grey’s Anatomy and Vanessa Williams For 666 Park Avenue. I personally think Taraji belongs in the Outstanding Actress category for her role on POI, not in the Supporting category.

While celebrating the accomplishments of people of color in the various areas of the entertainment industry, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Image Awards also honors groups and individuals who promote social justice through creativity.

The NAACP will hold the 45th annual Image Awards on February 21st for the non-televised categories with the remaining awards being announced during the televised ceremony airing on TV One February 22nd at 9 pm EST following the pre-show from the red carpet beginning at 8 pm EST.
